Couples Therapy

Couples will learn communication skills and be educated on the realities of relationships. I’ll help each partner develop greater awareness of ineffective patterns that cause miscommunication. You’ll become better attuned to emotions from yourself and your partner and more confident with how to respond to them. I focus on maximizing awareness and understanding of each partner so that curiosity, compassion, and connection can become the main ingredients in your relationship. Homework will be assigned most sessions.

Whether with individuals or couples, my style of counseling is engaging, energizing, and experiential. Ultimately, I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative, philosophical exploration of self, others, and the world, and therefore value non-harm and flexibility in my approach.
