My approach to counseling is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your life. And I believe that you already have all the tools necessary to be successful in creating the life you want. But due to life experiences, cultural and familial expectations, and negative self-talk there can be a block to accessing your toolbox. I offer a non-judgmental and safe space to work on identifying and utilizing your tools to bring about the changes you are seeking. We will collaborate together, and I will guide you and support you in getting you to where you want to be.
I provide counseling from a Client Centered theoretical framework and incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis on Mindfulness. This means that I believe clients have the capacity and desire for growth and change, and if they are provided with support, guidance, and unconditional positive regard, they can gain self-awareness and discover personalized solutions by tapping into their self-awareness. I also help you become aware of the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and in doing so, help you reframe your thoughts to provide positive feelings and desired behaviors. In addition, I approach counseling with a multicultural lens, meaning I take into consideration the variation and differing viewpoints that inform a client’s worldview based on their cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I bring the practice of mindfulness into our sessions to help you increase your self-awareness, manage your emotions, and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
I am committed and passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life in their various intersectional identities. My niche interest is in working with First and Second-Generation Immigrants navigating life with cultural/familial expectations and pressures on their career, relationships and/or identity.

Anusha’s rate is $100 per 60 minute session (intakes and follow-ups). You may use your HSA/FSA to pay for therapy services, and some insurance plans will cover her services. All Bloom therapists offer complementary 10-minute phone consultations to assure a good therapeutic fit before scheduling.
